Senior Project Proposal Letter

Mr. Snyder and North Carolina Graduation Project Approval Committee
Dear Ms. Little and North Carolina Graduation Project Approval Committee:
For my North Carolina Graduation Project, I plan to learn how to meditate. I chose this topic because I feel that the North Carolina Graduation Project is a chance for me to learn to do something enjoyable and to provide me with the opportunity to spend time learning to experience new things. I have no experience in meditation, which is why I would like to expand my knowledge on the subject.
In my research paper I will argue that self-meditating does in fact help you medically, and helps you improve socially and academically. Brain research shows that meditation helps develop the total brain. There have been many debates over whether meditation helps develop the brain. To support my argument I will use books, scientific and medical articles, and interview several meditation specialists.
For my practical experience, I will take meditation lessons with my mentor until I have learned and developed my skills. For my practical experience hours I will be taking lessons once a week with my mentor. I will have enough money from my job to pay for the lessons. It should take no less than fifteen hours to complete my practical experience. I will take several pictures and produce a video to display for my product.
The outcomes of this project will more than likely impact my life emotionally. It should influence my future greatly, in a sense of self-consciousness and over all the way I think. Hopefully after my experience in this project I will proceed to meditate throughout my life.
I am aware that plagiarism is using somebody’s ideas without giving proper credit to that individual. I also realized that plagiarism will result in a failing grade for the North Carolina Graduation Project. Since I plan on passing this course and graduating in January, I will work to be honest and accurate in my efforts.
